Originally from Brazil, I have been active in the clinical and academic arena of Psychology since 1994. From my early career years up until now, I have always had an immense curiosity and fascination for all the unique possibilities of human transformation and change, and the myriad ways in which those may flourish. I have always been intrigued by the struggles we face when trying to navigate the complexities that life entails in order to find our own authentic and creative voice. I explore this fascination not only in my work as a psychotherapist, but also in my study of arts and literature, which addresses those same struggles in a poetic and yet metaphoric way.

In my clinical work, I hope to help my patients re-connect with unknown aspects of their emotional experience and become more creative and playful. I found that this process usually produces transformation, better choices and a more fulfilled life. You will find me to be a curious, warm and caring psychotherapist. I see both children and adults, in individual and couple's therapy. My main areas of focus are creative blocks, immigration or acculturation issues, parenting and early childhood struggles.

Beyond psychoanalytic psychotherapy, I offer workshops, consultation, supervision and teach in a variety of settings throughout the Bay Area. Please, contact me for more information or to set up an appointment.
